1st Annual Kep Half Marathon, 10k Run

and 10k Fun Bike Ride

(November 23, 2007)

The 1st Annual Kep Half Marathon, 10k Run and 10k Fun Bike Ride will raise funds for and donate bikes (the very bikes you ride!) to Chamcar Bei village, in support our Hand in Hand community development projects.

Hand in Hand is a five year integrated community development project being undertaken by Bridges Across Borders in collaboration with the Kep-based Knai Bang Chatt resort and the Belgian foundation Friends of the Rainbow Schools. The project aims to bring about a sustainable improvement in the quality of life of villagers in the Phnom Voar area of Kep municipality on the south coast of Cambodia. The Hand in Hand project is linked to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals, which aim to halve world poverty by 2015. By working hand in hand with our Cambodian community partners, we are making poverty history one village at a time.
