Research Coordinator: Community-driven accountability in Cambodia

Monash University, Oxfam Australia and Bridges Across Borders Cambodia (BABC) are undertaking a two-year research project to investigate existing barriers to community driven accountability, and the factors enabling some communities to develop relatively stronger community centred accountability processes than others. Drawing on the Cambodia experience, the project aims to fill an important gap in literature and practice by examining the interaction of multiple and overlapping accountability mechanisms associated with aid and development organisations, financial institutions and transnational business whose activities may impact simultaneously on one community. This will provide a strong basis for generating academic papers and briefing papers that can inform programmes and advocacy as well as a pilot project for building strengthened community driven accountability systems.

Interested candidates can submit their C.V., two writing samples and cover letter by February 03, 2012 to Veth Sokhim, HR/Administration Manager, by email: sokhim_hr@babcambodia.org. Please do not send certificates. This position is for Cambodian Nationals only and qualified women are strongly encouraged to apply.
